2017/2018
Photos of the Year

Personally I think this is an important photo because this mother and son are mourning over the death of their husband/father who was a police officer. He was killed during the Las Vegas shooting. Cops the last couple years have been heavily criticized for their actions but I think this is an eye opener that not all cops are bad.
This past year has had some pretty big discussions such as football players kneeling during the National Anthem. Some people say its disrespectful and others say its they're right and they can do whatever they want. But this movement has changed the game.
Half our nation has faith in Trump and the other half not so much. This new presidency has definitely divided us, so we'll see what happens.
Best of 2017
So many teens go through heartbreak with either friends, partners, or even family. This can pretty much sum up a teenagers love life.

Get Out was definitely a movie to play with your mind. With being ranked one of the top five psychological movies of the year, it also covered some pretty sensitive topics such as racism and cops. I highly recommend it because it did such a good job at just being a fun thriller but also throwing some real world issues in it.
The "Me Too" movement has definitely made an impact on society. Not only did we catch all the harassers but so many women spoke out and shared their story inspiring one another. It was definitely an eye opener.

Colin Kaepernick was probably the most important person in 2017 considering he was such an influence and just a game changer. Knowing our world today it takes a lot of courage to do something you believe in. But thanks to him, we are now finally realizing that our issues in society are actually important.

Tom Petty was a devastation to those who are into some rock n' roll. Making some pretty laid back songs , Tom Petty did good.
Break
Over the break I went to California to visit some family and go swimming but that didn't happen. Anyways it was pretty warm and it was nice to be in a different environment for Christmas.
Some New Years resolutions are to become good at boxing, and beat the high school 400m time (50.4). I guess i'm looking forward to see what other movements happen in 2018. :)
